The license you're buying.
PDF OPUS is sold as a perpetual, non‑exclusive license to use the application on up to two Macs that you own or control. You can transfer the license to a different Mac at any time by deactivating one of your existing devices in the dashboard.
What's included.
Every feature in the app today, plus every feature we ship in the future. No paid upgrades. No upgrade tier.
Subscriptions.
Weekly and yearly plans renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle at the then‑current price. You can cancel at any time from your Lemon Squeezy dashboard or by emailing hello@pdfopus.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period — you keep access until then. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing cycle.
Refunds.
For 14 days from your purchase date, write to hello@pdfopus.com and we'll refund you in full, no questions. This applies to all plans — weekly, yearly, and lifetime. Upon refund, your license key is deactivated and access to the app is revoked immediately. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion. Lemon Squeezy (our merchant of record) processes the refund within 5–10 business days.
Digital content and right of withdrawal.
PDF OPUS is digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium. Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (Article 16(m)), you agree that delivery begins immediately upon purchase and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the download or activation starts. This consent and acknowledgment is collected by Lemon Squeezy at checkout. If you did not expressly consent, the 14‑day withdrawal period applies and you may exercise it by contacting hello@pdfopus.com.
What you can't do.
You can't redistribute the application binary, share your license key, reverse engineer the app, or use it to process documents on behalf of third parties as a hosted service. You can use it for any commercial purpose on your own Mac.
Termination.
We may terminate your license if you violate these terms — for example, by redistributing the app or sharing your license key. If we terminate your license for cause, no refund is issued. You may terminate your license at any time by deleting the app and requesting account deletion via hello@pdfopus.com.
Limitation of liability.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim arising from or related to PDF OPUS is limited to the amount you paid for the license. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including data loss. This does not affect mandatory statutory rights under German or EU consumer protection law.
No warranties.
PDF OPUS is provided as‑is. We do our best to ship a tool that's faster, smaller, and more reliable than the alternatives, but we can't promise it will never crash on a particular file. Always keep a backup of any document you care about.
Age requirement.
You must be at least 16 years old to purchase or use PDF OPUS. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Merchant of Record.
All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles billing, VAT, sales tax, and payment disputes. By purchasing, you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms of service. Your payment data is never stored on our servers.
Governing law and jurisdiction.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Hamburg, Germany, unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
Changes to these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms. If you disagree, you may stop using the app and request a refund within 14 days of the change.
Severability.
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary. All other provisions remain in full force.
