Is this really a one-time payment?
Yes. €69.99, once. You own this version of PDF OPUS forever, and every future update is included at no additional cost. There is no card on file, no renewal, and no lock-out date.
How many Macs can I install on?
Two. Both have to be Macs you own or control. You can deactivate one device at any time from your account dashboard and free up the seat for a different Mac — your license travels with you.
What happens when macOS updates?
PDF OPUS supports the current macOS release and the previous two majors. We've been shipping every macOS in beta for years; the release-day update is always free, always available.
Is there a refund?
Yes. For 14 days from purchase, write to hello@pdfopus.app and we'll refund you in full. One click on our side, no survey, no retention email.
What is the AI add-on, and do I need it?
The AI add-on is a separate, optional subscription at €5.99/month that gives you 500 AI credits for document summaries, smart redaction, and OCR cleanup. You don't need it. Every other tool in the app is included in the lifetime price and works with or without it.
Where do my PDFs go when I edit them?
Nowhere. Every edit, every conversion, every redaction happens on your Mac. There is no cloud library, no auto-backup, and no telemetry that includes document content. The only network request the app makes is the once-per-day license check.
Do you have a student discount?
Not at the moment. The price is intentionally low enough that we don't run promotions — €69.99 once is already less than two years of any subscription competitor.
What if I want to use it on three Macs?
Buy a second license. We'd rather ship a fair two-seat default than enforce a complicated tier ladder. Volume discounts kick in automatically at five seats — write to hello@pdfopus.app.
